Chapter 8
This chapter covers different computer software that is available for designing various systems. Students can use CAD programs to create and design graphics, 3-D drawings and objects. There are programs that help design3-D shapes and figures, bent wires and rounded edges. There are different simulation software available to students. These programs help students to visualize different systems and how they work by creating mental models. These simulations can simulate how systems work and the process they go through. Music is another area where designing technologies are used. The composition software is used to compose, edit and play back music. I personally know that band directors are constantly using these programs in schools today. The notes can be viewed, played and edited. Also, students can use these programs to arrange pieces and learn. Designing programs can be used in many areas for learning in school.
